Easy French Toast
- 6 thick slices of bread
- 2 large eggs
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla paste or extract
- Pinch of salt
- Mix the batter—In a large bowl, whisk together egg, milk, salt, spices, and vanilla.
- Prepare the pan—Lightly oil or butter skillet or griddle and place over medium high heat. When a drop of water sizzles on pan, it’s ready to go.
- Make the French toast—Dip each slice of bread in egg mixture, making sure both sides are soaked. Place in pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
French toast is the perfect solution for bread that’s slightly past its prime. Drier slices soak up extra custard for a creamier interior.
Our GreenPan Ceramic Nonstick Griddle gives you additional surface space for more French toast so you can minimize cooking time. It requires less oil or butter than traditional skillets, and the extra nonstick coating makes cleanup incredibly quick and simple.
